To explore the clinical value of color Doppler ultrasound in the diagnosis of microcalcification in breast cancer.
Methods:
From Jan. 2010 to Jan. 2014
a total of 19 patients with microcalcification in breast lesions were chosen. All the patients underwent color Doppler ultrasound examination and X-ray mammography. The two methods were compared.
Results:
There was no significant difference in diagnosis results between X-ray mammography and pathology (

but the diagnosis accuracy of color Doppler ultrasound was lower than that of pathology (

0.05). Combina
tion of the two methods improved the specificity and positive predictive value
but reduced the sensitivity and negative predictive value.
Conclusion:
Highfrequency ultrasound could detect the internal calcifications in breast lesions
but not for microcalcification. X-ray mammography has a certain advantage in diagnosis of microcalcification. The combination of the two methods can significantly improve the diagnosis accuracy of microcalcification in breast lesions
and effectively improve the diagnosis of early breast cancer.
