Analysis of factors affecting the success rate of ultrasound-guided fine needle aspiration biopsy of cervical metastatic lymph nodes in papillary thyroid carcinoma
To explore the factors affecting the success rate of ultrasound-guided fine needle aspiration biopsy of cervical lymph nodes in papillary carcinoma of the thyroid (PTC).
Methods:
The ultrasound findings of 124 patients with PTC (156 cervical swollen lymph nodes) were reviewed and analyzed. The pathological examination results were used as the gold standard
and the factors affecting the success rate of fine needle aspiration biopsy were analyzed by logistic nalysis.
Results:
The success rate of fine needle aspi
ration biopsy of cervical lymph nodes was 79.4%. The operating years of the operator
the division of lymph nodes
the maximum diameter and the color Doppler flow imaging (CDFI) grades were related factors that affected the success of the biopsy (all
P
<0.05).
Conclusion:
he results of ultrasound-guided fine needle aspiration biopsy in the diagnosis of lymph node metastasis of PTC are accurate
which can provide a reference for clinical treatment of PTC.
