C-methionine (MET) PET imaging in glioma patients.
Methods:
A total of 36 patients who underwent surgical treatment and were confirmed of glioma were retrospectively analyzed. The volume-based parameters were calculated based on MET PET images.
Results:
The volumebased parameters showed significant differences among different grades of gliomas. When oligodendroglioma was considered
the difference between grade II and III was not significant.
Conclusion:
The volume-based parameters by MET PET are valuable in the diagnosis of glioma. The clinical application should be paid attention when certain type of tumor such as oligodendroglioma is
